The Life-Changing Power of Gratitude: 10 Surprising Ways It Can Transform You

The Life-Changing Power of Gratitude: 10 Surprising Ways It Can Transform You

Introduction

In this article, I am going to list 10 ways you can change your life for the better with the power of gratitude. Thinking positive thoughts and being thankful for our lives and all the beautiful things we already have, increases your joy and happiness, and brings more of what you desire into your life. Even if you don’t already have what you desire, thinking about that desired state of being and feeling the joy as if you already have it can bring it to you. This is the Law of attraction.

Having gratitude is thinking positively and lovingly toward something or someone. Your soul wants love and to be loved, so naturally it wants gratitude and to feel gratitude. It is your divine nature for you as a human being to want to feel love and gratitude.  When you practice gratitude, you are practicing the Law of Attraction, which is a philosophy.

The Law of attraction states that “Like attracts like”. Many motivational philosophers, writers, and speakers have stated the fact that your mindset has everything to do with bringing what you desire into your life. It can be a conscious effort. If you decide to focus your attention on what you desire, you can make it happen.

If you see it in your mind. You’ll hold it in your hand.
– Bob Proctor

Below, you will find a list of 10 great ways to transform your life with gratitude and an explanation of each. In these ways, you can think, read, write, and feel into gratefulness.

10 Ways To Have Gratitude

1. Start a Daily Gratitude Journal

Each day write in your Gratitude Journal 3-5 things you are grateful to have. For example, family, pets, loved ones, friendships, a house, etc. Even if you don’t already have what you desire, write down that you are grateful for what is coming your way. Write in the present tense. Write positively, with joy and love. Be in a happy mindset when you write and be truly grateful. Example: “I am grateful for my loving family, my health, and the opportunity to pursue my dreams.”

2. Use Gratitude Affirmations

Repeat your positive gratitude affirmations daily, or even three or more times daily. Put sticky notes with your affirmations on them, in different prominent places where you spend time each day, like the bathroom mirror. This will remind you to say and repeat your positive affirmations. These gratitude affirmations help change your mindset and rewire your brain.

3. Express Appreciation to Others

Make sure that you tell other people you are grateful for them and why. Don’t just assume that they know it. Write thank you notes that express your gratitude.

“Silent gratitude isn’t very much to anyone.”
— Gertrude Stein

4. Find Gratitude in Life’s Lessons

Look for the lesson in difficult situations and be grateful for it. Sometimes life can be a major challenge, but there is always a lesson of gratitude in it for you to focus on. Perhaps someone did you wrong. Be grateful it did not happen to your children or other family and friends. Rise above anger and be grateful to be alive. Never let negative energy hold your focus because you will allow more negativity to be attracted to you.

For Example, the very reason I started this blog, this positive space, is because I allowed the news networks to take space in my brain. All the news stories are 99.9% negative because that’s what they sell. They sell shock, anger, and blood. I became angry, and that’s not what I wanted to be. When I recognized this issue, I stopped. It’s hard because you may not know you’re in it. Listen to others like your friends or loved ones for clues.

I stopped watching any news or reading any of it. If there’s something I need to know, I’ll find out. Then I started publishing only positive information online. Now, I am attracting positivity into my life again in the form of feelings, joy, laughter, and love. What a trade-off! Try it yourself! Don’t sell your soul to bad actors.

5. Practice Mindfulness and Being Present

Be aware of what is happening right now, this very moment. Appreciate the beauty of the earth, moments with people you love, yourself. Walk in nature and notice the glorious beauty all around you. Enjoy the little things in life and expect the best. Mindfulness brings about a deeper sense of gratitude.

6. Keep a Gratitude Object

Carry something in your pocket or purse that reminds you to be grateful. This could be a rock, a trinket, or a coin. Anything that helps you remember to be thankful. Each time you touch it repeat your gratitude affirmations. Make sure you put it somewhere you will see it or feel it often during the day. This will help change your mindset to gratefulness thinking.

7. Volunteer or Help Others

You will feel very grateful when you help others who need it. This one pulls directly into your heartstrings. Connection with others is important and when you are able to volunteer to help others, your soul feels joy, kindness, worthiness, and gratitude. Reach out and Volunteer.

“When I started counting my blessings, my whole life turned around.”
― Willie Nelson

8. Spend Time in Nature

This does go with mindfulness, but it is so important it stands alone too. Find the time to walk or hike in the beauty of the natural world around you. Look up into tall trees and wonder how many years old they could be and what they’ve seen in their lifetime. Be thankful that they are alive. Wade through a small stream and be thankful for the clear clean waters. Walk barefoot in a grassy lawn or meadow and feel gratitude for growing things. Examine a flower up close and wonder about its creator. Watch the stars and imagine yourself flying to see them. There are endless sources of gratitude and wonder found in nature. Try it and be thankful you can.

9. Surround Yourself with Positivity

Spend time with positive and grateful people. Create a Gratitude Board with images and quotes that inspire you. Put it somewhere that you see and look at it often. Create a living environment that makes it easier to find appreciation in it.  Put fresh flowers in a vase on the table. Unclutter and give thanks for your wonderful spaces.

10. Make Gratitude a Lifelong Habit

Commit to practicing gratitude every single day. Write, read, repeat, feel, and implant it into your mindset. Make it a part of your morning, daily, and evening routine. Over time, living in gratitude will become second nature and you will attract incredible positivity.

“As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.”
― John F. Kennedy

Conclusion

If you practice these ten ways to create gratitude in your life and make it a daily, even lifelong routine, you will be amazed at how the Law of Attraction will give back to you. You will be attracting more joy, abundance, and happiness than ever before.

I encourage you to start today and implement these simple ways of bringing gratefulness into your life. Keep going and make it a way of life.

Manifesting Wealth and Abundance | Law of Attraction, Positive Affirmations, Visualizations & Goal Setting

Manifesting Wealth and Abundance | Law of Attraction, Positive Affirmations, Visualizations & Goal Setting

Introduction

What does it mean to manifest wealth and abundance? There are many schools of thought on this subject, and much is written, theorized, and argued. In this article, I am going to show you ways to attract wealth and abundance through mindset, practice, and belief. Set aside, for now, the systems approach of structured learning and corporate advancement. All that is good and well in the right circumstances.

Today, we will look at the Law of Attraction, Positive Affirmations, Visualizations, Goal Setting, and having the belief system and mindset for cultivating and attracting wealth and abundance. You can have all the education in the world, but if you are not intentionally attracting it to you, it moves further and further away. Get very clear on what it is to you.

The Law of Attraction

The Law of Attraction is a philosophy that states “like” attracts “like”. Thoughts are things and whatever your mindset is around a belief, then that’s what it will attract. If you strongly and knowingly believe, without a doubt, that there are angels, that will be true for you.

Success is subjective; meaning it is what the achiever believes it is. If a man believes he is a success because he got a degree, then he is a success in his own eyes. If another man believes he is a success because he inherited his family’s wealth, then he is in his own eyes. What does it mean to everyone else? It doesn’t matter. The “success” is the meaning to the person within. What do I mean by this? It only matters to the person who believes it is true.

How does this relate to wealth and abundance for you? It matters what you define as wealth, prosperity, and abundance. It matters how clear you are about what you want and what you will give for it. It matters how you feel about it. It matters how you see it within your mind’s eye and how often you hold onto that thought and feel it in the now.  It does not matter so much what others think or say about your achievements and goals. Be clear though, harming others will set you back.

The law of attraction states that whatever you focus on, think about, read about, and talk about intensely, you’re going to attract more of into your life.

     –Jack Canfield, an American author.

The Law of Attraction is a belief system that can bring about the manifestation of goals with the use of goal setting, positive affirmation, visualization, feeling into the now, gratitude, tithing, and consistent and persistent action. I truly believe in this law of the Universe and live by it as much as I can so that I can be the best human possible for myself and others.

Goal Setting

What is it that you want? Can you see it in your mind’s eye? Are you very clear about the outcome of your goal? Do you know why you want it?

If you cannot write it, see it, feel it, and believe it, the goal you are intending may not be something that the Universe can deliver to you. Make sure you have extremely specific goals in mind that you want to achieve. Let me be clear here.

You don’t have to know exactly how to take action to get what you have in mind, but you do need to know what it will feel like after you have taken action. Once you start on your journey, inspired inspiration will tell you actions to take. Just start the steps lined out for you here and you’ll be on your journey.

Know your why!

     –Tony Robbins

Positive Affirmation and Mindset

Positive Affirmations are a way to rewire your brain and change your mindset. Get rid of limiting beliefs and create a mindset that believes beyond any doubt that you can achieve your goals. The affirmations are structured specifically for you and the goal you have set for yourself.

For example; I am wealthy, I deserve wealth and abundance, Money is my divine right.

Make powerful and positive affirmations that are in the present tense, personally for you.  Repeat these statements in your mind daily and with conviction. Repeat them while you exercise, walk, or do chores. Use them for meditation and just before sleep. The key is consistency.

Writing

Write your positive affirmations in a journal or notepad often and daily. A good time is just before bed or first thing when you get up. Writing has the potential to rewire your mindset too. Putting your affirmations on paper etch the intention into your brain. Journaling can be a powerful tool to help you along your journey to success.

Another way is to write your goals and affirmations on sticky notes and put them in every room you spend time in, like the bathroom mirror or bedstand.

Other ways to write your goals are scrapbooking and a vision board, which incorporates visualization techniques, next.

Visualizing

If you can very clearly see in your mind’s eye what your goal will look and feel like when you reach it, you are on your way to manifesting it. Visualizing is a powerful tool that allows you to see the end in mind.

For example, if you had a goal of getting a new car, you would go out and look at that car and perhaps even drive it. You would know what color, what it feels like to sit in the driver’s seat, what it smells like inside. You would have a whole collection of sensory perceptions that you bring home with you in your mind, even though you don’t have that car yet.

Every time you visualize your goal, it should be very clear what it looks like when you have it. Then the next thing is to feel as if you have it now.

A vision board is a practical application of visualization techniques. This involves cutting out pictures from magazines and putting words on a large piece of presentation cardboard. Scrapbooking is another way. The important thing is to make it specific to your goal, so seeing the board or scrapbook makes you feel good, knowing that’s your intention.

Feeling Into Now & Meditating

Feeling as if your intended goal is already manifested is important. What does it feel like to already have met your goal? If It’s abundance, you cannot feel poor or a sense of lack. You must get out of a “lack of” mindset and into a knowing that you are already wealthy and have abundance.

Meditation is a great way to open your mind to the Universe, a higher consciousness, or a knowing that all is well. Guided meditation can be used like positive affirmations to rid of blocks in the mind that stop money from flowing in.  Mindset is key to opening the doors to wealth and abundance. Your belief system has to be open to prosperity flowing in

Being Grateful

Have gratitude and be thankful for everything you already have and know. Be grateful for being alive on this beautiful planet today. Be grateful for the beauty all around you, for the water, for the wildlife, for the air that you breathe. Always be grateful for the abundance that you have now and the abundance that is coming to you.

Consistent and Persistent Action

Be very consistent and persistent with your daily manifesting actions. Live as if! Take inspired action. If you meditate and receive inspiration. then act on it. I do this with my artwork and writing to clear blocks and get ideas.

Doing what you love is the cornerstone of having abundance in your life.”

     – Wayne Dyer

Giving and Tithing

Give to others and you will receive more than you gave. Having a mindset that you already have more than enough and you can share, is one of the keys to a health-abundant mindset. Having a “lack of” mindset will only attract lack. Having an abundant mindset will attract more abundance.

Examples:

There are many accounts of wealth and abundance manifesting success. For my information, see the references at the end of this article.

  • Miriam Castiilla has a wonderful website referenced below, that has many accounts of people reporting how they manifested money. One woman she was working with to raise her vibration and feel into receiving abundance, suddenly got a message that $16,000 had been posted to her account from an unexpected source.
  • Another woman worked to remove self-limiting beliefs and in the next month had a new large sum of money flowing in from her work.
  • One woman used gratitude to manifest over $11,000 from an unexpected source just 15 days after she had been diligently practicing this technique.

Conclusion

The Law of Attraction is the key to manifesting anything you desire. Through the use of positive affirmations, writing, visualizing, being grateful, taking consistent and persistent action, and giving, you have all the keys to the Universe. Use these practices with feeling, belief, and a knowing that you will achieve your goals.

Positive Affirmations Power: Your Mindset Is Your Gold

Positive Affirmations Power: Your Mindset Is Your Gold

Introduction

Are you looking for a way to get motivated or to find the self-confidence to do something you really want to achieve? How about being more positive and not letting life get you down or letting the world’s distractions make you crazy and unfocused? You can eliminate bad thoughts and restructure how your mind works, with positive affirmations. You can get focused and turn your attention to more positive avenues in life. You can achieve anything you set your mind to achieve with the help of positive affirmations. Many famous sports athletes, actors, writers, and more, use this technique to achieve their goals.

You have probably heard of positive affirmations, but do you know how they work and how to use them? I’m going to break it down here and tell you exactly why and how to do so that you can be on your way to a better life for yourself, your family, and your friends..

Positive Affirmations Explained

It’s all about mindset. Your brain is wired to respond to all the thoughts and beliefs that are from past experiences and daily here and now, running through it. Some of these thoughts are running automatically and you aren’t even aware they are there. For example: do you sometimes hear your mother or your father say something in your mind? I will hear my Dad say “Check the oil in your car!” He did this for my safety and protection of course, but I still hear him saying it, in my mind. Some thoughts may be running in the background silently and automatically, and you don’t know they are working against you.

You’ve learned these thoughts over your lifetime and they can be good, bad, helpful, or not. To eliminate bad thoughts, especially those that are automatic, we need to rewire our brains to automatically run good and helpful thoughts. That’s where positive affirmations can and do help if used correctly. This is the intentional reprogramming of your mindset.

The way your brain remembers these thoughts is called neural pathways. They are tiny electrical impulses that your mind has put in place by past events and experiences. New neural pathways can be created by you to automatically think in a structured helpful way. For example, you can boost your self-confidence, be more disciplined, have a positive mindset, and improve your self-image.

How can we create new neural pathways or thoughts in our brains? By repetition. Over time, repeating positive affirmations can make those thoughts and beliefs automatic. So you want to replace negative thought patterns with new positive ones. Even if you don’t know you have negative thought patterns, you can rewire your brain for positive thought patterns through the use of repetitive positive affirmations.

Other benefits of positive affirmations can include reducing stress, anxiety, Self-doubt, depression, and other challenges in life. Scientific research has proven that using positive affirmations can be very helpful in overcoming negative, harmful thought patterns. A positive, healthy mindset will allow you to successfully reach your goals. For further research into scientific study see the sites referenced at the end of this article.

Effective Affirmations

“Affirmations are like seed planted in soil. Poor soil, poor growth. Rich soil, abundant growth. The more you choose to think thoughts that make you feel good, the more you will attract the positive circumstances that you desire.”
        – Wayne Dyer, American Psychologist

Be specific in the goals you want to achieve or challenges you want to overcome. Do you want to win at your favorite sport, or do you want to get a degree? Do you want to be more positive in your relationships or be more grateful? Do you want abundance or to be more spiritual? What is important to you and be very clear. As Tony Robbins says, “Know your why?” Ask questions of yourself and be clear about what you really want to achieve. Then craft your positive affirmations.

How to structure: The 4 P’s (Present-tense, Personal, Positive, Powerful) Rinse and Repeat

Once you’ve determined exactly what your goal is and have a reason why, you should begin structuring your positive affirmations intentionally. The affirmations should be in the present tense, personal, positive, and powerful. There are many already formed positive affirmations that you can find on the web, just make sure they pertain to your goal and have the “4-P” structure. Start with the end in mind.

Let’s break down the structure. Create affirmations that are meaningful and personal to you. Be specific and use powerful words. For example “I am grateful”. Never use negative words like “I’m not”, “evil”, “poor”, or anything that has to do with a lack of mindset. Use positive words like “I am” and “positive”, or “Abundant”.

Make them achievable by starting with just a few affirmations. When you have a few powerful and positive affirmations that are specific to your goal, in the present tense, your mind can believe them over time. In a matter of a couple of weeks in many cases.

Repeat your specific positive affirmations regularly. The key is consistency. Set up a time each day when you practice them. Have notes in certain places like the bathroom mirror, where you will be reminded to repeat your affirmations. Do them out loud if possible, while exercising or doing yoga. Repeat them to yourself just before bed or in the morning first thing when you wake up.

Another way to experience your positive affirmations is by listening to them daily. Record and listen to yourself repeat them over and over with belief. Believe in yourself! Believe in the power of your mind!

“You have power over your mind – not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength.”
      – Marcus Aurelius

Examples of People using positive affirmation for success:

1. Valarie Allman, Olympic Discus Gold Medalist:
The search results quote Allman using affirmations like “I am capable of winning. I deserve to win. I will win.”[4] These affirmations helped boost her self-belief and focus her mindset on achieving victory, even in the high-pressure environment of the Olympics.

2. Stephen Curry, NBA Star:
The search results mention that Curry is known for his pre-game ritual of repeating affirmations to himself, such as “I am a champion” and “I am unstoppable.”[2] These affirmations help cultivate the confidence and mental toughness he needs to excel on the basketball court.

3. Louise Hay, Self-Help Author:
The search results highlight how Louise Hay used affirmations to heal herself from cervical cancer after refusing conventional treatment. [2] She developed a system of affirmations targeting specific physical and emotional issues, which she then shared with others to help them heal as well.

4. Dr. Bernie Siegel, Physician and Author:
As a surgeon working with terminally ill patients, Dr. Siegel discovered the power of affirmations and positive thinking in healing. [2] He found that many of his patients attributed their illnesses to a lack of self-love and self-acceptance, which he then addressed through affirmation-based practices.

5. Napoleon Hill, Author of “Think and Grow Rich”:
The search results identify Napoleon Hill as the “modern father of positive thought and affirmations.”[2] His famous book details how successful individuals he interviewed used goal-setting, visualization, and affirmations to achieve their dreams, especially in the realm of wealth and prosperity.

Conclusion

Negative self-talk is the reason many of us do not reach our goals and have compromising behaviors. Positive affirmations can rewire our brains, eliminate bad thoughts, and greatly improve our mindset to achieve our wildest dreams. You can achieve anything you set out to do by changing your mindset. Design affirmations that are positive and specific to you. Repeat them hourly, or daily and set reminders to do so. Before long you will begin to notice you are on your path to achieving your goals and you too can become “unstoppable”, as Tony Robbins says.

I truly believe in creating the mindset you need to achieve your goals. I have used it throughout my life and continue to do so today. I am now creating affirmation recordings in my voice to use quietly while I sleep. I am in the process of making these recordings and will post them on my YouTube channel.
